About KnC
KnC: Kryvavitsa and the Monster is a turn-based survival puzzle game. The Monster tries to reach the Exit while Kryvavitsa and Shadows advance after each player action.
The project began as a DOS game dated 13 February 1999. Later Windows-era rewrites in 2003-2005 explored Visual Basic GUI forms, multilingual resources, settings, and skin support. The 2026 version is a Web/PWA remake that keeps the Original 1999 visual mode as the primary MVP target and adds browser, PWA, and local-save support.
How It Plays
| Goal | Reach the Exit with the Monster. |
|---|---|
| Turn order | Monster, then Kryvavitsa, then all Shadows in shuffled order. |
| Walls | Push one Wall at a time to open routes or crush Shadows. |
| Enemies | Orthogonal adjacency after an enemy action is defeat. Diagonal contact is safe. |
| Progression | Each victory increases the number of Shadows by one. Defeat keeps the same level and regenerates the board. |
