1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using FastMediaSorter (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
FastMediaSorter is a media management application for Android devices that allows users to:
- Browse and organize media files from local storage, network shares (SMB/SFTP/FTP), and cloud storage (Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox)
- Copy, move, rename, and delete media files
- View images and play videos/audio files
- Access media through various protocols while maintaining user privacy
3. User Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Your Data: All media files you access, organize, or modify using the App
- Network Credentials: Keeping your SMB/SFTP/FTP credentials secure
- Cloud Access: Managing your Google Drive, OneDrive, and Dropbox authentication and permissions
- Backup: Maintaining appropriate backups of your important files before performing operations
- Legal Compliance: Ensuring you have the right to access and modify all files you work with
4. Use of Service
4.1 Permitted Use
The App is provided for personal, non-commercial use to manage your own media files.
4.2 Prohibited Use
You may not:
- Use the App to access files you don’t have permission to access
- Attempt to circumvent security measures in network or cloud systems
- Use the App for any illegal purpose
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App (except where permitted by law)
5. Privacy and Data
5.1 Local Processing
The App processes all operations locally on your device. No data is sent to our servers because we don’t operate any servers.
5.2 Third-Party Services
When you use cloud storage integration (Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox):
- You authenticate directly with the cloud provider (Google, Microsoft, Dropbox)
- The App only accesses folders you explicitly select
- Your data is subject to the respective provider’s Privacy Policy
- You can revoke access at any time through your account settings

6. Disclaimer of Warranties
6.1 “AS IS” Basis
THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Warranties of merchantability
- Fitness for a particular purpose
- Non-infringement
- Uninterrupted or error-free operation
6.2 Data Safety
While we strive to ensure the App operates correctly:
- We cannot guarantee that file operations (copy, move, delete) will always succeed
- Network interruptions may cause incomplete operations
- You are responsible for maintaining backups of important files
- We strongly recommend testing on non-critical files first
7. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
7.1 No Liability for Data Loss
We are not liable for any loss of data, including but not limited to:
- Accidental deletion of files
- Failed copy or move operations
- Data corruption during transfer
- Loss of access to network or cloud resources
7.2 Indirect Damages
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.
7.3 Maximum Liability
Our total liability for any claims related to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App (if applicable).
8. Network and Cloud Services
8.1 Third-Party Services
Access to SMB, SFTP, FTP, and cloud storage (Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox) services is subject to:
- Availability of those services
- Your credentials and permissions
- Network connectivity
- Third-party terms of service
8.2 No Responsibility for Third Parties
We are not responsible for:
- Availability or performance of network shares
- Cloud storage (Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox) service interruptions
- Changes to third-party APIs or protocols
- Security of your network credentials
8.3 Cloud API Terms
- Google Drive (play-services-auth): Sensitive and restricted OAuth scopes (such as
.../driveand.../drive.file) require app verification by Google. If the app is not verified, users will see a warning screen. This is a mandatory security measure. - OneDrive (MSAL 6.0.1): Registration in Microsoft Entra (Azure AD) is mandatory. It is free, but explicit consent to Microsoft Identity Platform Terms is required.
- Dropbox SDK (5.4.5): The Dropbox Developer Agreement applies. There are traffic quotas on the free tier. For monetization or high traffic, a paid plan for the developer account may be required if quotas are exceeded.
9. Updates and Changes
9.1 App Updates
We may release updates to:
- Fix bugs and improve performance
- Add new features
- Ensure compatibility with new Android versions
- Update security measures
9.2 Terms Updates
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
10. Termination
10.1 User Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device.
10.2 Developer Termination
We reserve the right to:
- Discontinue the App at any time
- Remove the App from distribution channels
- Block access to future updates (though installed versions will continue to function)
11. Intellectual Property
11.1 Ownership
The App, including its code, design, and documentation, is owned by the developer and protected by copyright laws.
11.2 Limited License
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal purposes.
11.3 Your Content
You retain all rights to your media files. The App does not claim any ownership of your content.
12. Geographic Restrictions
The App is available worldwide through Google Play Store, subject to:
- Google Play Store availability in your country
- Local laws and regulations regarding data access and storage
- Export control laws
13. Dispute Resolution
13.1 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine, without regard to conflict of law principles.
13.2 Informal Resolution
Before pursuing formal legal action, please contact us at sza@ukr.net to attempt informal resolution.
14. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.
15. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the App.
